Technical Support

  • THE GAME CRASHES AS SOON AS I OPENED IT:

Don't panic! 99.99% of the time, this is easily fixed by updating your computer's graphics card drivers. Steam has created an easy to follow guide on how to do this here.

  • MY SCREEN HAS TURNED BLACK:

This is commonly caused by third-party overlays. The most common one is Raptr card overlay, you can find information on how to disable it here.

  • I’VE TRIED EVERYTHING AND IT STILL WONT RUN:

We are here to help! Send us the files we need and we'll do everything we can to help solve the problem. Make sure to describe the issue in as much detail as possible.

Collect two files from the locations below and email them to support@breakingwalls.co:

Find the DxDiag File:

  • Press "Windows Key + R" together.

  • Type "DxDiag" and press "Enter" to run the DirectX diagnostic tool.

  • Click "Save All Information" and save the file somewhere, then attach it to your email.

Find the "output_log.txt": Copy and paste the following path into file explorer: %AppData%..\Local\Away\Saved\Logs

  • ARE YOU PLANNING TO COME TO XBOX ONE?

We are currently working towards releasing on Xbox One. Stay tuned for more updates by joining our newsletter.

  • CAN YOU PLAY AWAY ON LINUX / MAC?

Not yet! We have a lot of dev work to do at the moment, but we are interested in possibly supporting Linux/macOS in the future! If you’d like to receive updates about new platforms launches and more, you’re welcome to join our mailing list.

  • WHAT PLATFORMS ARE AWAY AVAILABLE FOR?

AWAY: The Survival Series is available on Steam (PC), PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. We intend to launch on Xbox One in the months to come. Be first to hear of its release date by joining our mailing list here.

  • IS THERE AN OFFICIAL DISCORD SERVER I CAN JOIN?

  • WHAT CONTROLLERS DOES THE GAME SUPPORT ON PC?

Currently, AWAY supports Xbox 360 and Xbox Series controllers on PC. We intend to support PS4/PS5 controllers in a future update.

  • WHAT LANGUAGES CAN I PLAY IN?

AWAY is playable in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish. Portuguese, and Russian. Voice over is supported for English and French only.

We are currently working on adding support for Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean. If you’d like to receive updates about new languages, please join our mailing list here.

RECOMMENDED:

  • Processor: Intel i7 4th Gen+ or AMD Ryzen 1600+

  • HOW LONG IS AWAY: THE SURVIVAL SERIES?

Approximately 5 to 10 hours, depending on how much you want to explore and complete side quests.

  • HOW MANY ANIMALS CAN I PLAY AS?

You’ll be able to play as over 10 different animals including a salamander, praying mantis, beetle, crab, frog, and more!
