Founding Team

Established in 2015, Breaking Walls was formed with one goal in mind: to create immersive, visually stunning, story-rich entertainment experiences. With decades of experience in their respective fields, the studio's three founders come with a well-established history of success.

SÉBASTIEN NADEAU, Head of Technology
With over 15 years of experience programming and developing interactive experiences in the computer graphics and gaming industries, Sébastien leads all technical operations at Breaking Walls. Having honed his skills at companies like Ubisoft and CAE, he now oversees the development and production of the AWAY series.

LAURENT BERNIER, Creative Director
An industry veteran, Laurent joined Ubsoft in 2005 and has spent the last 13 years working on some of the industry's biggest games. Having served as cinematic director as well as animator on several AAA projects, he's had a hand in the production of titles such as Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and many more. As Creative Director at Breaking Walls, Laurent's creative vision and industry knowledge have helped craft AWAY into one of the most unique and immersive gameplay experiences in the world of indie gaming.

NATHANAËL DUFOUR, Creative Producer
With over 12 years of experience in advertising and cinema, Nathanaël has worked as a producer, designer, and art director on countless projects over the years. He started his own ad production agency, Stellart Média Inc, in 2006, and has won several design awards for his work. At Breaking Walls, Nathanaël oversees the art direction and production of each one of the studio's projects.
