For years now, YouTube has been a constant source of entertainment and news for both casual and hard-core gamers, and now that VR is gaining steam worldwide, we’re seeing more and more VR-focused YouTube channels popping up every day. Here at Breaking Walls, we’re massive fans of these VR YouTubers, as they help grow virtual reality worldwide by showcasing VR’s bright present and its even brighter future! As such, we figured we’d spread the love, so we compiled this list featuring some of the best VR streamers to follow this month. Have a look:
VR Gaming Evolved (YouTube)
With over 4,000 subscribers in just over two and a half years, this channel is continuously growing and for good reason. They upload PC VR gaming using mostly the Oculus Rift, and believe (as we and everyone else on this list does) that VR is the future of gaming. A lot of the videos here are close to an hour or even longer in length, featuring detailed and complete gameplay of several different VR games. There’s no better way to experience this unique and immersive perspective for those of us who can’t play these VR games at home!
A huge jacksepticeye fan, thefishstick believes in the philosophy of creating content solely because you want to create. He’s obsessed with FPS, an obsession that only got worse after he discovered Day of Defeat and the Battlefield series. He then stumbled into the world of VR and now uploads hilarious content on both the Oculus and HTC Vive. Give him a follow and it won’t take you long to see why he’s on our list of best VR streamers this month!
This channel is a one-stop shop for VR exclusive gameplay videos and trailers. If there’s a game you’ve been meaning to check out or want to know more about, you’ll almost certainly find a video dedicated to that game here. They promote games on the 3 major VR platforms (HTC Vive, Oculus, and PSVR), and their Twitter page is also constantly being updated with new game news & reviews. If living up to your name was an Olympic sport, then vrgamecritic would win gold by a mile!
Cas and Chary VR (YouTube)
This power couple have started making serious waves on YouTube, with nearly 3,000 subscribers in less than a year. Their main goal in creating videos is to support the VR community in hopes that everyone will have their own VR headset in the future, and we’ve got to admit, that’s a vision we can get behind! They also upload gameplay & reviews multiple times a week, and their unique style and mannerisms make them a must-have on our best VR streamers list for November.
Playstation Prospect (YouTube)
This channel, like others on this list, also focuses on reviews & gameplay, but there are two things that make it stand out and stake a claim for a place on the list of best VR streamers. First and foremost, this channel strives to cover games and show footage that are either unseen or underexposed, and to create unique content that you most likely won’t have seen anywhere else. As if this wasn’t enough, they upload at least 3 videos weekly, at a regularity that some YouTubers can’t even dream of — there can’t be a better reason to subscribe right now!
A Swedish YouTuber with a witty name, SweViver joined YouTube almost exactly a year ago and already has over 5,000 subscribers, stats which speak loud and clear about the quality and regularity of his work. While he mostly uses the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive for his VR-exclusive gameplay videos, he also reviews VR accessories and sets up game giveaways to his subscribers as a sign of appreciation. And let us tell you, there’s no better way than a good giveaway to warrant an inclusion in our list of best VR streamers!
A channel that started as recently as January of this year, Neuvron is both a somewhat scientific play on words and a VR channel run by Benny and Dennis, two friends from Sweden. They hope to show people the potential of VR both as a form of technology and as a unique gaming platform. With over 200 subscribers already combined with the fact that they use both the HTC Vive and PSVR, the sky is the limit for this channel and we’re excited for them to keep showing us why they’re amongst the best up-and-coming VR YouTubers out there.
Another creative name that makes us want to compile a list of clever YouTuber names, this channel focuses on the most action-packed VR Content for both the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift. If you’re a fan of the Action genre, enjoy watching original VR gameplay videos multiple times a week along with plenty more original content. If you haven’t already, you definitely have to check them out — they’re the real deal!
His friends know him as Austin Wolak, but on YouTube and in the VR circles he’s known as (the mighty) Brometheus. A self-proclaimed connoisseur of weights, he’s a light-hearted streamer who streams on HTC Vive and PSVR, and also enjoys the occasional mixed reality game. He also hosts entertaining live streams from time to time, making us more than glad to be able to put him in this list of best VR streamers this month.
We round of this list with another YouTuber who consistently puts out at least a couple of high quality VR reviews and gameplays a week. Using the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, he plays games spanning many different genres, including sports, adventure, and horror, so you’ll almost definitely find him playing something you like. Go ahead, give him a follow and see for yourself!
Here’s to hoping this list helped you discover a few new faces in the VR gaming world! As you’ll find out if you check them out, every streamer listed above is committed to their craft and to the future of VR gaming, bringing us closer to a time where virtual reality is the norm, not the exception. In the meantime, we’ll be here enjoying the awesome content they bring us every week!
